The DTM Packaging Volumetric in-line filler incorporates a sanitary design of the entire product path within the filler, eliminating all points subject to potential contamination. All product supply connections, pipes, fittings and valves utilize sanitary type (TRI-CLAMP) fittings and components. Volumetric measuring is accomplished by the use of electromagnetic flowmeters. The  working principle of these flowmeters is based upon Faraday’s law of magnetic induction. Conductive product passing though a magnetic field within the meter generates an induced voltage. The induced voltage is proportional to the flow velocity. Two  electrodes, positioned inside the meter in direct contact with the product, sense the induced voltage. The volume dosed is  computed on the basis of the pipe diameter and the detected velocity of the product passing through the meter.

The flow meters supplied on DTM Packaging fillers guarantee very accurate measuring and do not require any special maintenance. The dosing operations are controlled by a dedicated PLC installed within the filling frame. When the preset fill value has been reached, the PLC initiates the closing of the associated filling valve and then reports the statistical values to the fill control system. The product enters the meter from the filler supply manifold tubes. The product exits the meter while at the same time the volume is measured.

DTM Packaging pneumatic actuated fill valves control the final dosing. The product is discharged through the nozzle and then into  the waiting container. The product path from the main supply entry point into the filler through the discharge of the fill valves has  been designed to meet sanitary design requirements.

SIRIO – PT

Trigger Pump Inserter The SIRIO-PT series trigger pump inserter is capable of production speeds up to 350 PPM. The chucks are designed to assure the correct radial alignment of the trigger after torque has been applied. The dip tube is positively guided and controlled throughout the insertion process. Torque is applied by the use of a series of adjustable friction clutch controlled tightening wheels within the SIRIO-PT, no downstream torque system is required.

DE-PUCKERS

The rotary DE-PUCKER series is designed to remove bottles being transported in pucks, that have been filled and capped.

For the Cap-Down style bottles in which the caps become the support base, the extracting stations rotate to invert the bottles 180° to the cap down position prior to discharge.

ROTOMATIC-PT

The PT series is supplied for applications where positive insertion of bottles into pucks is required. The ROTOMATIC-PT has been designed to operate at speeds of up to 300 BPM. An optional bottle orientation capability can be added to the PT series, utilizing vision, bar code detection or photo-optics.

The puck delivery system also includes a no bottle no puck feature, consisting in a servo driven infeed scroll. The puck is released only if a bottle is present in the discharge starwheel of the bottle unscrambler.

ROTOBOT

The ROTOBOT series is a rotary style continuous motion bottle orientor. The orienting system detects the bottle position (front or back) and then rotates the bottle to the correct position prior to transfer on to a discharge conveyor.
